Jangro Lee, a Korean national, is the World Bank Group Alternate Executive Director since November 2024.
Prior to joining the WBG Board, Mr. Lee held various positions within Ministry of Economy and Finance including Secretary General, Korea Lottery Commission (2024); Director, Feasibility Study Division, Fiscal Consolidation Division, Performance Management Division; (2014-2015); Director, International Financial Institutions Division and Foreign Exchange Policy Division (2012-2013); Director, Employment and Environment Budget Division (2011) and Team Leader, Real Estate Policy Team (2010). He also was the Senior Operations Officer, Public Private Partnerships Transaction Advisory Services at the IMF (2018-2020) and Director, Bureau of Supporting Green Growth, Prime Minister’s Office (2016-2017).
Earlier in his career, Mr. Lee held various positions with the Ministry of Planning and Budget where he was a Deputy Director of multiple divisions and Secretary to the Vice Minister (1995-2004).
