Forest Jarvis is an extended-term consultant in the East Asia and Pacific Gender Innovation Lab (EAPGIL) in the East Asia and Pacific Office of the Chief Economist. He has been working with EAPGIL since 2018 and previously worked at Innovations for Poverty Action Philippines. He has also worked with the World Bank Development Economics Vice Presidency and the Social Sustainability and Inclusion and Urban, Disaster Risk, Resilience and Land Global Practices. He has experience in both applied research and operations related to gender, social protection, childcare, land tenure, and entrepreneurship. His analytical work focuses on impact evaluation design, survey design and methods, and the measurement of agency and women's empowerment. He holds a Master's Degree in International Development Policy from Georgetown University.
