Bridget Sabine Crumpton is Human Development Program Leader for Indonesia & Timor-Leste, based in Jakarta, from September 2024. Bridget, a national of the United Kingdom, joined the Bank in 2019 as a Senior Education Specialist after a distinguished career of more than 15 years at DFID where she held technical and managerial roles. Prior to joining the Jakarta office, she worked for the education program in Egypt and Djibouti in Middle East and North Africa.
Bridget is a seasoned professional with wide-ranging operations and policy expertise gained at country level in Africa, Asia and with global initiatives. Bridget brings excellent sectoral knowledge in education, combined with experience working cross-sectorally on human development issues.
She has a strong track record in leading international and cross sectoral teams, setting strategic direction and managing complex education and human development projects. Bridget is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French and holds a Masters in Adult and International Education from the University of Edinburgh and a bachelor’s degree in French and European Culture from the University of London.
