Alexandre Arrobbio is the World Bank's Country Manager for Tunisia since September 2021. He joined the World Bank in 2005 and was previously Regional Governance Manager in South Asia (2013-17) and West Africa (2018-21). He has over 25 years of international experience in steering complex reform programs, managing large-scale multi-sector programs, and advising governments in various countries in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. He also has extensive experience of crisis management and transition processes such as post-communist transition (Romania, Albania), post-financial crises (Argentina, Paraguay), conflict and fragile contexts (Afghanistan, Haiti, North Iraq, Sahel). His areas of specialization include development aid, public management (public policy, public finance, state owned enterprises), and geopolitics and security issues. He speaks French, English, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.
