Akiko Sagesaka is a Senior Statistician for the Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS) - the World Bank’s flagship household survey program housed at the Development Data Group's Living Standards Measurement Unit (DECLS). She is an expert in household survey design and implementation, including instrument development, fieldwork management, data quality control, data analysis, and data dissemination. She works to improve the quality and relevance of data collected through household surveys and build the capacity of partner National Statistical Offices in the implementation of their surveys.
Akiko holds a master’s degree in International Development Studies from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo, Japan.
