On November 5, 2020, Moscow hosted the second Russian-African Public Forum organized by the Global Alumni Alliance and the Africa Business Initiative UNION for the representation of entrepreneurs in Africa.
The Russian-African Public Forum is a platform for discussing the interaction between Russia and African countries and the development of their mutual cultural, humanitarian, trade and economic cooperation. The forum was held within the framework of Russian international strategy for the development and strengthening of trade, economic, social and cultural relations with African countries, and building strong institutional foundation for Russian-African cooperation.
Igor Shervarli, Advisor to the Russian Executive Director, participated in the Forum and shared on the WBG cooperation with Africa as a priority region. He also shared his opinion on the opportunities for Russian companies in Africa and called for their more active involvement in WBG projects.
