Workshop on Kunming COP15 and Beyond

On March 7, 2022, Junghong Chang, Executive Director for China and Richard Montgomery, Executive Director for the United Kingdom hosted a virtual workshop on "Biodiversity- Kunming COP15 and Beyond". 

This workshop focused on the progress and expected outcome of the Kunming COP15 and World Bank Group's role in supporting biodiversity. The Kunming COP15 is expected to set the global framework to mitigate and reverse biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation for the next decade. As the Phase I meeting delivered part of the expected outcomes in October 2021, parties are working intensively with an aim to conclude negotiation on the Post-2020 Global Diversity Framework by the Phase II meeting in the first half of 2022.
