The World Bank is seeking to appoint a consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive review of the existing data ecosystem in Cabo Verde; Benin; The Gambia; Guinea; Guinea-Bissau; and Liberia. The consultant firm will be tasked with preparing a detailed report on the local data ecosystem in each country and proposing alternatives to modernize their data ecosystems; incorporating cutting-edge technologies and cloud-based solutions that enhance security; scalability; and interoperability. Furthermore; the study will examine options for harmonizing policies and enhancing interoperability across West Africa. By laying the groundwork for a unified digital ecosystem; the study will strengthen government efficiency; economic competitiveness; and sustainable development across the region. These insights will inform strategic decisions aimed at stimulating investment; including through public-private partnerships (PPPs); and promote the expansion and modernization of the public data infrastructure; benefiting both selected countries and the broader West African region to develop a common framework for data-hosting and cloud migration strategies.
