The objective of the project is to undertake a high-level feasibility assessment of the reform of the Informal Public Transport (IPT) Sector in Dodoma; Tanzania. The end goal is to ensure that the sector provides a safe; reliable; and affordable public transport service enabling the broader integrated; and sustainable public transport network; and supporting the broader city development goals/ objectives in an environmentally; economically; financially; and socially sustainable manner. The key deliverable of this assignment is to develop a IPT reform business strategy including an implementation and industry transition framework to ensure effective implementation of the project. This work will be an input into a separate appointment by the Government of Tanzania which will be responsible for detailed planning; design; and implementation of the project.
