The objective of the consulting assignment is to help an IFC client (“Client”) to identify investment opportunities in Ukraine that will support its strategic business expansion. Specifically; the Client is considering expanding its operations to Ukraine in grains; oilseeds; potato and sugar beets processing by making one or more strategic M&A investments in local businesses already active in these areas. The consultant is expected to provide a business case and investment strategy for the specific opportunities identified in a form suitable for decision-making by the Client.The Scope of Work (SoW) includes four tasks: (i) sector assessments; (ii) mapping key players; (iii) investment opportunity identification; and (iv) M&A strategy. The SoW will focus on the Client’s priority crops: (i) corn; (ii) wheat; (iii) soybean; (iv) sunflower; (v) rapeseed; (vi) potato; and (vii) sugar beet.
