The textiles and clothing sector is the biggest exporting sector in Jordan. Despite its significant contribution to the economy; the sector faces challenges related to the availability of skilled labor to cater for the growing needs of the sector. From another side; the industry managers; despite the higher wages and benefits; rely on expatriate workers as the local workforce is not interested in employment in the garment industry and expatriate workers have higher production efficiency.To ensure workforce readiness and competitiveness; there is a need to develop tailored; high-quality curricula for identified professions within the sector. The primary objective of this assignment is to develop standardized; competency-based curricula and test bank for six professions in the garments sector to meet industry demands; enhance skills; and align with national and international standards.These curricula shall be utilized by the training institutes; accredited by the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC) in Jordan.
