This project aims to assist the regulator in Bangladesh in adapting climate risk as a part of prudential management of regulated entities through the development of a climate risk management guideline following international best practices; assess the maturity of financial institutions (FIs) in climate risk management; and build internal capacity of the regulator. The overall objective of the project is to support regulator of financial sector in adopting international and/or regional best practices of climate risk management. To achieve its overall objective; the project will focus on 3 components: 1. Climate risk management guideline and relevant capacity building: Climate risk management guideline for the FIs and build the industry readiness and capacity to adapt this guideline.2. Maturity assessment of FIs on climate risk management and roadmap development: A high-level maturity assessment of selected FIs on climate risk management and developing an actionable roadmap for improving climate risk management practices.3. Enhancing the internal capacity of the regulator: Building internal capacity of regulator on climate risk management based on regional and international best practices
