IFC is the largest and only global development finance institution working in the private health sector in emerging markets. In selected countries of Latin America and the Caribbean; IFC has launched an initiative that looks to channel financing to health micro; small and medium enterprises (HMSMEs) through partnerships with financial institutions that want to finetune / develop tailored financial products and capabilities to assess / target this health segment more effectively. The first pilot of this initiative will start in Minas Gerais; Brazil where IFC is partnering with a leading Financial Institution (FI) that wants to sustainably grow its health portfolio; targeting the MSME segment. Thus; IFC is seeking a firm / vendor (the “Firm”) with local presence and established relationships in the Minas Gerais healthcare sector (including health services; life sciences; and MedTech) to conduct a market assessment to determine the size; financing gaps; market opportunities of the health sector for health MSMEs.
