The objective of the proposed assignment is to preliminary assess the potential to increase the installed capacity of the eight considered expansion projects by assessing the technical feasibility and economic viability; both as individual projects and as part of a cascade development; to be included as potential projects in the newly approved Power Development Plan (PDP8). Based on the results of the assessment; the Consultant shall also rank the expansion projects and make recommendations for subsequent feasibility studies on the expansion projects.The Assignment by the Consultant will be carried out in two separate stages as summarized below and detailed in the following:- Stage I: Project Inception including review of earlier studies; collection of data; site visits; hydrological study; and site selection.- Stage II: Conceptual Study including conceptual layout studies; preliminary optimization studies; energy production studies; cost estimation; preliminary economic evaluation; and reporting
