The objective of this consultancy is to support IFC’s Client in conducting a fauna inventory across various landscapes; including smallholder cocoa agroforestry systems; conservation areas; freshwater ecosystems; and other land use areas; within the municipalities of Vista Hermosa and Cabuyaro in the Department of Meta. This inventory shall be conducted by comparing data from the different clusters to be provided by the Client; taking into account factors such as topography; cluster size; land use type; and the agroforestry system characteristics.Additionally; the consultancy shall develop a set of actionable; low or no cost and easy to implement recommendations for smallholders to strategically enhance fauna biodiversity conservation. These recommendations should include measures for protecting endangered species; conserving ecosystems; safeguarding fauna corridors; and incentivizing smallholder farmers’ participation in these activities.
