The objective of this consultancy assignment is to establish the necessary knowledge base to enhance urban management and the disaster and climate resilience of cities/urban local governments in Ethiopia. Specifically; the consultancy assignment aims to develop a comparative overview of urban disaster and climate risks through the following activities:(i) screening of climate and disaster exposure for all urban areas (above 20;000 inhabitants) in Ethiopia; (ii) analysis of urban growth dynamics across the country; and (iii) technical assistance and capacity building for urban monitoring and urban disaster risk assessment.
