The objective of the consultancy is to conduct analytic work on climate resilient school infrastructure to inform the preparation of the World Bank funded operation “Mato Grosso Resilient; Inclusive; and Sustainable Learning Project” in Brazil. Specifically; this work aims to: (1)   For a group of 75 targeted schools; to identify: i) vulnerability reduction measures for exposed schools to natural hazards such as strong winds; floods; heat stress; and wild-fires; ii) the rehabilitation needs and iii) the needs of increasing capacity in schools.   (2)   Review the current school infrastructure designs and construction technologies and provide improvement recommendations to the SEDUC to build effective resilient; inclusive; green; healthy; and teaching- and learning-conducive physical learning environments (RIGHT+ PLEs). (3)   Review the regulatory environment and school infrastructure policies; construction management practices; and maintenance procedures to identify areas for improvement at state level. (4)   Support the development of a school infrastructure investment plan for the school portfolio of 75 selected schools under the WB project in MT.
