Following the Government of Ethiopia’s (GoE) request for support in the update of the NEP 2.0 (2019) the World Bank is seeking the services of a “Consultant” (firm or a consortium); with relevant and proven expertise and experience to support the GoE to undertake an update of the National Electrification Program (NEP) and assessment of least-cost electrification options as outlined in the following Terms of Reference (TOR). The objective of the assignment is to support the GoE in the preparation of a new updated NEP based on the least-cost analysis as well as corresponding investment prospectus so that it includes the modalities by which to increase the pace of electrification in order to achieve universal access; total investment required; as well as implementation strategy and institutional arrangements; for universal access of electricity.
