In recent years; the centralize power grid in Tanzania has expanded substantially following the  construction of new 220 kV and 400 kV Transmission lines; 2;115 MW Julius Nyerere Hydro Power Plant (JNHPP); and new substations. Those new power infrastructure have significantly increased the size and complexity of TANESCO Grid system leading to various challenges. The objective of this assignment is to carry out comprehensive power system studies (power system load studies; power system stability studies; protection setting studies; switching studies or other related activities) on  TANESCO’s power grid network to identify potential options for addressing theses challenges and potentially inform future interventions by the World Bank.
