This assessment aims to provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive the adoption of cleaner and more efficient cooking solutions across Guatemala; aligning with broader sustainability and public health improvement objectives. It will conduct a comprehensive market assessment of Guatemala's clean cooking sector to aid the government's goal of attaining universal access to modern cooking facilities. This initiative encompasses several key components: (i) Policy and regulatory analysis: evaluate existing policies and regulations; offering recommendations to enhance the enabling environment for clean cooking solutions; (ii) Analysis of firewood consumption: Identify current trends in firewood usage for cooking purposes; providing insights into sustainable alternatives that are both clean and efficient; (iii) Inventory of clean cooking appliances and services: Catalog existing clean cooking technologies and services available in the market; identifying strengths and gaps for further development; and (iv) Supply-side analysis: assess the landscape of clean cooking technologies within the country; examining factors such as availability; affordability; and scalability to inform strategic decision-making.
