The Government of Cote d’Ivoire (GoCI) through the Ministry of Hydraulics; Sanitation and Hygiene (MoS) approached IFC to support in attracting private sector participation to design; build; operate and maintain an integrated Solid Waste Management (SWM) system in three regions: in the vicinity of the Abidjan Autonomous District; in an Intercommunality in the center (composed of 9 municipalities; i.e. the “Center Intercommunality”) of the country and in an Intercommunality in the north of the country (composed of 9 municipalities; i.e. the “North Intercommunality”). The project is part of the country wide Projet d'Assainissement et de Resilience Urbaine. The GoCI will fund construction of the solid waste management infrastructure through a WB loan.IFC will support the GoCI as lead transaction advisor in a two-phase approach composed of (i) the due diligence and structuring phase; and (ii) the tender phase. To advise the GoCI; IFC is considering hiring a law firm as legal consultant (the Consultant).
