The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, invites Proposals from Offerors interested in providing Hygiene and Sanitary Care Consumables for the office in Kenya. Below are some of the mandatory requirements.  

1.Bidder must have successfully and continuously been engaged in providing services to commercial/ business facilities, in Kenya, similar to those required in this RFP over at least eight (8) years.

2.Bidder must have annual revenue of over USD 450,000.00 for at least one of the financial years and should have been operating in a positive position (i.e. generated a profit in at least one of the last three years.).

 

3.Bidder must attest that it has all required licenses, permits and related paperwork to provide such services in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the jurisdiction wherein it is providing services (Kenya). 

 

4.The Purchaser’s building is LEED certified, therefore products/equipment used in the provision of service must meet the criteria below: 

a.High quality and environmentally friendly (green/biodegradable) import standard. 

b.Consumables with plant-based ingredients will be most preferred.  Product composition should be hypoallergenic and carcinogen free – products should be free of CFCs, VOCs, PCBs, known carcinogens.  Any equipment supplied must be energy efficient.

c.Packaging of the products should be environmentally friendly.  Use of bigger capacity re-fill formats, where applicable, will be preferred to use less plastic.  

5.The Bank requires bidder to compensate their employees with salaries & benefits commensurate with those paid, as a minimum, by local Government and in compliance with all local laws and regulations. 

6.Bidder must provide three (3) customer references for which similar service is provided by Bidder.

The World Bank Group (WBG) will disclose or exchange certain proprietary and confidential information, and they desire that the recipient keep such information confidential, and use it only in connection with the following purposes: To participate in an RFP process whereby, Offeror will be given access to the relevant WBG internal “Official Use Only” or “Confidential” documents.  A signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be required prior to releasing the solicitation.  Parties will receive the NDA via email and will be required to return the signed NDA prior to receiving the solicitation documentation.         

The WBG reserves the right to publicly disclose contract award information, including but not limited to, name of company receiving the award, brief description of services, and contract award amount, for any contract award valued over US$250,000. Offeror's proposal and contractual documents will remain confidential and therefore not subject to disclosure.

The World Bank reserves the right to reject any or all responses without recourse.
