The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (The World Bank) invites qualified and capable firms to submit technical and financial proposals for the provision of consultancy services for Review of Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) ’s Project Level Evaluations and Validations at its Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
IEG is responsible for the assessment of the relevance, efficacy, and efficiency of the WBG’s operational policies, programs and activities, and their contribution to development effectiveness. IEG’s mandate is to enhance accountability and learning to inform the core work of the WBG – WB, IFC, and MIGA. IEG reports directly to the Board of Executive Directors, and specifically to the Committee on Development Effectiveness (CODE), to protect its independence.
The Review has two main objectives:
1. To determine how IEG can get higher value from its project level evaluations and validations.
2. To determine areas for efficiency gains to maximize the value for money of IEG’s Micro-Products.
