The World Bank Group (hereafter referred to as “WBG”) includes the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA), International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA).  WBG provides travel services for Executive Directors, Advisors, Alternates, WBG staff and their families, consultants, visitors and various program participants.

Established in 1944, the WBG is one of the world’s largest sources of funding and knowledge for development solutions.

Travel is one of the largest components of the World Bank Group’s (WBG) administrative budget and business travel is an integral part of the WBG operations. WBG provides travel services for Executive Directors, Advisors, Alternates, WBG staff and their families, consultants, visitors and various program participants.  PCard is also widely used for expenses, in both Washington DC and country offices across the world.

The purpose of this RFP is to hire a vendor to provide a third-party assurance solution to assist with fraud detection and policy control on expenses, particularly travel reimbursements, PCard charges and business-related expenses paid ‘out of pocket’ by staff.  The solution must leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Cognitive methods to reduce incidences of false positives and identify patterns and behaviors including duplicates, fraud, patterns of abuse/misuse, non-compliance with policies and other ineligible charges for additional review.
