On August 12, 2024, Corporate Procurement sent a request to a selected group of vendors engaged by the WBG during the past fiscal year to participate in the WBG Tier 2 Supplier Diversity reporting exercise for Fiscal Year 2024, covering the reporting period from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.
Vendors’ support of our global supplier diversity efforts helps the WBG with its commitment to promote, increase, and improve the business participation of diverse businesses (such as women-owned, minority-owned, ethnically and racially disadvantaged, disability-owned business enterprises, etc.) across our supply chain.
As part of this process, we ask that vendors share their company’s supplier diversity initiatives and report their spend with diverse suppliers. Information collected through this reporting exercise enables Corporate Procurement to quantify the WBG Tier 2 spending with diverse businesses and serves as an opportunity to recognize the efforts of our vendors in promoting inclusive sourcing practices as well as their contribution to the WBG’s supplier diversity goals.
If a supplier diversity program/plan has not yet been established, we encourage vendors to establish one in the first year of their contract with the WBG and commence tier 2 diverse spend reporting in the second year of the contract.
Please review the Tier 2 Supplier Diversity Guidance for Vendors document for further details.
For any question and/or assistance in completing this reporting exercise, please email corpproc_esg@worldbank.org, attention to Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) Program.
