WASHINGTON, March 28, 2018 – The World Bank today confirmed that the independent external audit into Chile’s rankings in the Doing Business report has begun, following a series of media reports on the rankings in January 2018.
The audit is being conducted by a team led by Randall K. Morck, the Stephen A. Jarislowsky Distinguished Chair in Finance and Professor at the University of Alberta Business School.
The team plans to provide preliminary findings to the World Bank’s CEO by April 2018 and finalize its report in June 2018.
The World Bank expects to release a summary of the findings upon completion of the audit.
