WASHINGTON, May 15, 2017 - The World Bank Group today announced the debarment of Feedback Infra Pvt. Ltd. (Feedback) and five of its affiliates for one year, followed by an additional one-year conditional non-debarment period, with the possibility of early release from conditional non-debarment pending fulfillment of compliance and cooperation conditions. The debarment is part of a Negotiated Resolution Agreement (NRA) between the World Bank and the company.
A World Bank investigation revealed evidence that, while executing a construction supervision contract under the Lucknow-Muzaffarpur National Highway Project, Feedback’s staff recklessly verified, and certified for payment, three invoices submitted by a contractor that made false materials advance claims, based upon fictitious steel purchases. The World Bank already separately sanctioned the contractor, Progressive Constructions Pvt. Ltd., for 11 years.
Under the terms of the NRA, Feedback has committed to cooperate with the World Bank Integrity Vice Presidency and take steps to enhance its corporate compliance program in line with international standards.
