In addition to providing a platform for knowledge sharing, networking and discussions on current and future trends, the LACCF offers opportunities for participants to showcase advancements in their Low Emissions Development work and promote their climate finance products to potential investors.
While the focus is on the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, the agenda will also take stock of the global climate policy and market developments such as the mapping of carbon pricing initiatives at regional and domestic levels to get the right price for carbon, and stimulating climate-smart financial flows, as well as carbon taxation and what is needed to make the market more attractive for the private sector.
