The World Bank is preparing a Project for the Modernization and Optimization of Public Administration in Serbia, which will be implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, under the Loan Program for Results (PforR).
For the purposes of the Program, the team carried out an analysis in accordance with the procedures of the World Bank and prepared a draft document on Environmental and Social Assessment Systems (ESSA). This document analyses national environmental and social issues management systems related to the Program, in order to assess their compliance with the World Bank Operation Policiy OP 9.00. The goal of this assessment is to ensure adequate environmental and social risk management, as well as conformity of the Program with the basic principles of sustainable development.
