As the demand for reliable and sustainable energy solutions in India continues to escalate; it is becoming increasingly essential to understand the diverse range of battery storage technologies; lessons learned from their implementation globally; and their suitability in the Indian context. Thus; this study aims to explore and evaluate various battery storage technologies in terms of their performance; efficiency; cost-effectiveness; environmental impact; and potential applications and compile a comprehensive overview through real-world examples from different regions across the globe and in India. This study will also assess the suitability of various battery technologies in both power and transportation sectors within the Indian context.
